Prompt: Antique Bakery, Chikage/Ono: dream date - nervousness/first time
Summary: The Gay of Demonic Charm is nervous.
Ono splashed water on his face and stared in the bathroom mirror. Chikage sat in his living room, having accepted an invitation for tea and cake after a meal at an izakaya. Chikage. In his living room. The dinner had been a date.
A date. With Chikage.
And Ono was terrified. He looked at his reflection and shook his head. "The Gay of Demonic Charm is nervous. Can't have that, now." He put his glasses back on and loosened his collar. "Get out there and get him."
He opened the door and walked back to his living room. Chikage sat on his couch, cake untouched.
Chikage smiled at him. "I didn't want to taste it without you, Ono. So I waited."
Ono sat next to him. "Thank you. Please, let me know what you think. It's a new recipe."
Chikage picked up the simple ceramic plate and sniffed it. He cut a piece off with the fork and ate it. Ono couldn't see his eyes behind the sunglasses he always wore, but his mouth said enough. A second bite, a third, and the cake disappeared.
"I guess you liked it, Chikage." He didn't have half the sweet tooth Kanda did, so when Chikage wolfed down a slice of cake, it meant it was good.
"It was delicious." He grinned, and it made him look half his age.
Ono knew he wouldn't get any further details on what made it good, but he'd just wanted an opinion. "Chikage, there's a crumb on your cheek." Ono raised his hand to brush it off. He stopped with his hand on Chikage's cheek, wanting to caress the square jaw, wanting to flee. He'd never even tried to charm Chikage. He was sweet and friendly and had the most amazing broad shoulders.
Shit, Ono thought. He's different than the other men. They'd gone to dinner once or twice, though with the bakery, Ono had to work late and couldn't leave, and had had to cancel on more than one occasion. Chikage had brought him bento from the 7-11 instead. Chikage was so hard to read.
"If you want to kiss me, I'd like that." Chikage's voice was soft.
Ono's thumb traced the edge of Chikage's jaw, back to his throat, then down. He leaned forward and pressed his lips to Chikage's. "I'd like to do more than kiss you."
Chikage's hand rested on Ono's knee. "I'd like that, too."
