I loved Mugen as well: he has that hilarious devil-may-care attitude and occasional bits of wisdom.
The thing is that Jin is *my* type of hero, pale, guilty as hell, with past that haunts him, polite, quiet, master swordsman, with unhappy lovestory, good at games (idk how it was called, but remember how he won gold in one of the episodes?). I enjoyed so much his lovestory with that married woman and how she cooked eel, because he sucked at it. And the rain and teh bridge. I also fangirl over the fight inw hich Jin let that guy "mortally" wound him to win.
What I love most about SC, apart from all the anacronistic jokes (LOL marichuana field, sunflower porn amd Van Gaugh, graffity and how Mugen "invented" the infinity symbol)and gorgeous music (especially Fuu's sunflower theme), fights and visuals, is that the dynamics of the trio are very subtle - you have to look for it, but it's there. They seem (or they think so) to only tolerate each other and want to part ways as soon as possible, but there are those undercurrents...
Okay, I'm ranting.
The point is that SC has a special place in my heart - I might love it too much to soil the impression with slash and crack. It is something that I'd rather keep untainted, haha.
