I admit that, yes -- on the hand -- it's very hard to write X fic. Plotty long fic is nigh impossible, and I never found it easy to write simple PWP for this fandom either.

But on the other, this fandom lends itself perfectly to short fics and character introspective pieces. Some of the best X fics that I’ve ever read were, in fact, crack and gen, lol.
