“Cast Meteor.”
“That would be a complete waste of magic in a random encounter I can handle with two swings of my sword.”
Japan pouted. “But Meteor has such cool visual effects. You should cast it.”
“You and your Sephiroth obsession.” Taiwan rolled her eyes and paged through her strategy guide with one hand to figure out when she could next have Faris in her party.
“Like you’ve never drawn doujinshi. Not that door--it’s always the furthest one.”
“You and your backseat gaming.”
“I already finished it when it came out. You and your downloaded PC rips of console games.”
She picked up a stray piece of paper she’d been using for notes on a puzzle and gave it a few quick folds. “I’ll let you have this flower if you stop talking about casting Meteor.”
“Deal,” Japan said instantly.
Taiwan switched from her one-handed keyboard configuration to her two-handed shortcut keys, ready to concentrate fully on the game.
A minute later, “Cast Holy.”
