A/N: Oh my god. I apologize profusely for being so behind, but my internets decided to die and I had to hijack a friend's computer to get this up. The rest is on it's way, I promise!

The bricks grated on his skin, on his bones where there wasn't enough flesh to protect them. In front of him there was brick and mortar, and the thunder of battle. On the other side of the gate, someone was fighting the Gatekeeper. Behind him, there was something worse. Behind him was the smell of jasmine, sickly sweet, and opium smoke. Behind him was his pride and his humility, his freedom and his torment, his love and his hate. Behind him was his captain, Ichimaru Gin.

Hot breath drifted across the back of his neck, along his jaw, making him shiver. He had nothing to cushion himself against the rough stone; his hands were tied with his lieutenant's armband. He had forgotten rope. He was captive, struggling both to get free, to escape, and to drive the pleasure deeper.

He hated it, when there were out in the open. Anyone could see, not just the sex, but his humiliation, his desperation. He was laid bare for anyone who wished to look. He hated that he had been taught to love it, need it.

But this was it. This was the last time he would suffer. No more. After this crisis, after the ryoka were dealt with, then he'd put an end to this. He'd stop, once and for all. Even though his captain was his lifeline, his safety net, he was his oppressor, his master, both caring and cruel. One man cannot serve two masters, and Kira Izuru could serve neither. Even if it killed him.
