I... god. Wow. I would *never* have expected something this just... gah, this powerful, and awesome, and... and awesome and powerful and killing me for words from the prompt I gave, because the line was just from a silly song by Space, but you've taken that avenging angel thing and gone with it and just... god. Wow. The blank, painful reality of Squall/Leon's death is so gritty and cruel and *fan bloody tastic*, and Cloud, god, I want to squeeze him tight and make everything better and do the whole Batman "vengeance never does anyone any good, it becomes their life" spiel, but ashfakhsk.
And now I shall continue to keyboard smash in lieu of being able to express how awesome this is. Thank you :).
