It had started with them banding together in a "pseudo-support group for the survivors of mad scientists' experiments", as Nanaki put it. No disgust, no curiosity, no pity. They talked, though not as much as, say, Yuffie, and Vincent found he liked Nanaki, and then later he found that he liked Nanaki.

Nanaki had been supremely unsurprised when Vincent told him this - apparently Vincent's scent had been screamingly obvious for anyone with a nose.

It was a comfort, too, that Vincent was equally monstrous - and equally himself - to his lover in any of his forms.
