Blind Love
It had started with them banding together in a "pseudo-support group for the survivors of mad scientists' experiments", as Nanaki put it. No disgust, no curiosity, no pity. They talked, though not as much as, say, Yuffie, and Vincent found he liked Nanaki, and then later he found that he liked Nanaki.
Nanaki had been supremely unsurprised when Vincent told him this - apparently Vincent's scent had been screamingly obvious for anyone with a nose.
It was a comfort, too, that Vincent was equally monstrous - and equally himself - to his lover in any of his forms.

I love how peaceful and plain happy Vincent seems to be, and how absolutely tender Nanaki looks. Amazing shading! And the little story snippet is such a nice addition.

Nanaki really does need more love, doesn't he. I haven't seen much fic on him, and I'm only half-sure about his back story other than being a fellow experimentee. Doesn't help that all the canon I have on him is in Japanese X3;
They have this matching-wavelength thing going, I swear.

Nanaki: *raises eyebrow* .... *flicks tail*
