Rating: PG
Word Count: 163
Summary: Gil marvels as Agatha awakens to her spark.
Prompt: Girl Genius, Agatha/Gilgamesh: fooling around in the lab - "Do you fear the experiment?" "I fear the result."
Oh-my-God-o'clock in the morning, and Gilgamesh Wulfenbach was still very much awake.
He was sure now that his new assistant was a spark. It glowed around her, a red-gold nimbus that teased his own spark and made him tingle all over every time she passed near. And she passed near often - floating about the lab in that eerie way that only the truly dedicated sleepwalkers can manage, building, fixing, cannibalizing some of Gil's best machines, building some more. She never said what she was building, only set her little clanks in motion and waved her hand for Gil.
"I need a stronger motor," she told him, golden eyelashes fluttering against her cheek. "And wings."
"You'll have them," Gil promised with a courtly bow, and looked up to claim his reward - one of her soft, sleepy smiles.
He didn't dare ask her what she was building. For now, he was only the apprentice, and Agatha Clay was the master of the lab.
