Summary: They all have their reasons to not want to do this.
Harry, Hermione knows, thinks what they're doing is wrong because of who he is (Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived), and what he's supposed to be (a Hero). One of these days, she wants to sit down and have a good conversation with him about being silly and nobody expecting him to be celibate and above things like sex, just because he survived being attacked by Voldemort as a baby.
There's fate, there's luck, there's destiny, and then there's just being an idiot, and Hermione has no doubt at all about which of the four applies to Harry's delusions about needing to keep himself pure and beyond reproach. (Not, mind, that Hermione thinks anyone'd dare to reproach Harry - more's the pity, because now Harry's gotten the idea that he needs to reproach /himself/ and he's far too hard on himself to do any good.)
Ron, Hermione has guessed after overhearing a chat between him and Percy, thinks what they're doing is wrong because he's nobody special. Ron thinks of himself as 'the friend of' and 'the brother of' and that's not a good thing, but it's another thing Hermione can't fix without some time, peace and tea, and neither of those three seem available to her right now. Ron feels like he's a third wheel, like he could just die and nobody'd miss him. Hermione shudders when she tinks of what a mess it would have been if she and Harry had hooked up first, instead of she and Ron. Harry is far too self-conscious to ever think of himself as a third wheel. Ron, on the other hands, thinks he should retreat and leave Hermione to Harry (or Harry to Hermione; she's not entirely clear on that, and she suspects Ron might not be either).
Hermione herself, of course, thinks what they're doing is wrong because every minute they steal for themselves, is a minute not spent on winning the war. She knows she's not a saint though, and she knows Harry and Ron aren't either, so while there are nights when Hermione lies awake, feeling guilty, there are far more nights when she falls asleep smiling, knowing she is loved and lucky to have gotten that much to fight for.
