Summary: Not all traditions are bad.
A/N: A drabble.


Black Haru was, in general, not a very reasonable person or someone you could expect any great insights from - nonetheless, Yuki had always remembered the one time when Haru, making a pass at Tohru (although in hindsight and upon consideration, the one being made a pass at might have been Yuki, with Tohru merely being used as a distraction, a cover for the person whose reaction Haru had really been wanting to see) had pointed out that, really, the ability to hug another person without said person changing shape was not an absolute necessity for intimacy.

It was, Yuki thought, still true.

Nonetheless, it was equally true that being able to put one's arms around another person felt rather nice; Yuki could get used to it in no time at all, he decided, content to simply feel the weight of Haru's body resting against his, to know that he was wanted, and loved by someone not even Akito would be able to take away from him.

(It was, after all, well known that the Rat had ridden to the banquet on the Ox's back.)

In truth, I doubt if Akito would buy that part of the story as a good reason why Haru and Yuki ought to be allowed to hook up but ... it was too usable not to use it.
