Prompt: - Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Dulcea/Zordon: psychic sex - the phantom memory of touch
A/N: This was due February 23. Sorry for the tardiness.
Dulcea.
The whisper broke through her troubled dreams, rousing her to the first blush of sunset that tinged the horizon. Zordon?
It couldn't have been and yet...she was certain she'd heard his voice. She'd never forgotten it, no matter how many centuries separated them, no matter how many light years stood between them. Loneliness filled her with a longing she'd tried so long to deny. It was the reason she slept, the reason her spirit kept watch over Phaedos while her consciousness hid from the eternal curse of being alone.
A warm breath of wind stirred her hair as it whirled across the plateau, raising dust and ash into swirling eddies that danced and twirled in the fading light. So long ago they'd stood here, in the heart of the Ninjetti temple, too long ago she'd fallen and they'd vowed their love for one another, promised that whatever happened, they'd return to be bound and consummate the love they'd pushed aside in their efforts to free the universe from the tyranny of evil.
I dreamt of you again last night. The voice was soft and filled with longing that echoed her own desires.
She smiled past the ache in her chest, past the tears that clouded her vision. I waited for you as I promised I would.
Some day, he vowed, I'll come back for you. Some day, we'll leave Phaedos forever.
I'm tied here, Zordon, by the same bonds that hold you there. The Great Power is gone. It's only a matter of time until...
The wind curled around her, brushed her skin like phantom fingertips and Dulcea shuddered, throwing back her head to drink in the pleasure. Time was so short in mortal skin: time to feel, time to forget she was nothing more than a shadow of a civilization that had lived in glory long before the humans on Earth had taken their first steps as a race of beings.
I'll come back for you, he promised, and when I come, I'll bring with me the power you so willingly shed so that those who were worthy could become Rangers once more.
Like us. Her fingers wrapped around the rune-covered hilt of her staff.
Like us, he agreed.
I wish... Releasing the breath she'd been holding, she strode to the pit in the center of the temple ruins and raised the fire that dispelled the darkness.
Close your eyes, he whispered, and we can be together even if it's only for a moment, only for a flash in time.
Dropping into a crouch, Dulcea set her staff aside, pressed her eyes shut. She could see him standing strong and proud in his gold armor, a smile spread across his handsome face. Hands reached out to her, but before she could take them in hers, he vanished in a swirl of mist, only to reappear, his face lined with frantic fear. The streak of blood that ran from his temple to his jaw grew darker as she watched, dripped to stain the helmet clutched tightly in his hands.
We've got to get out of here, he gasped in a ragged voice. Ivan's coming. His forces outnumber ours...
She felt young again and when she looked down at herself in her mind's eye, her green armor was far more battered than his. The strain of injury and fatigue weighed heavily on her. Blood pooled on the ground beneath her. I can't make it, Zordon. She reached for his hand with broken, battered fingers. Take the others. Lead them through the portal I'll open for...
I'm not leaving without you. Tears splashed onto his cheeks. I'm not...
She backed away, dropping to the cracked tiles of the temple when her legs failed. I'll wait for you...
Dulcea... Caught in the swirl of magic that filled the center of the collapsing temple, he fought against its pull until he grew weak. I'll come back.
The magic weakened, just enough for him to break free. The others gathered around them, watched as he dropped to take her in his arms.
Go! he commanded them without looking up.
They hesitated until he screamed at them, dropped his face to her chest, and held her close. As he cradled her against his body, she powered down...for the last time; she knew it, but she wasn't afraid.
Take this. She shoved her power coin into his hands. Somewhere in the back of her mind, Dragonzord roared his protest over her sacrifice.
Without it, you'll die.
She almost felt guilty at the pleading in his eyes. If I pray now, while the breath remains in me, the Ninjetti spirits of my fathers will bind me here.
Noooooo.
Brushing the blood from his face, she sighed, unhappy with the images that crept into her mind, images of the future, of him fallen, of young humans weeping at his side. If you need me, I'll be here for you. Seek my power in the monolith deep in the heart of the jungle. I will place it there for you, for your Rangers. One day, you will need it.... The vision faded with her strength.
I'll be back, he promised. Laser blasts slammed into what was left of the ceiling dome, shattering it into hundreds of pieces that rained down around them. Zordon raised a shield, but she could see from the strain on his face that it wouldn't last long. Wait for me. Promise. We'll be together forever, bound to one another.
Intertwining her fingers with his, she nodded. I will wait, Zordon. Our love will never die.
And though time and space had separated them and the bonds of magic restrained them, he'd come to her, returned to the temple at last. Not in the same physical form in which he'd left, but she could feel him, sense him in the warmth around her, in the musky smell that filled the night air.
This time, it wasn't the wind that touched her, but ghostly fingers that stroked her skin and drove a shudder down her spine. It was difficult to resist the desire to open her eyes, to search for him. But, she knew he wouldn't be there if she looked for him, knew she'd lose him if she tried.
How?
That isn't important now, he whispered, his breath warm against her ear. Just know that I'll be there soon, know that even though all we have now is magic, I'll soon touch you and love you as I long to do now.
Her top fell away. Warmth covered her breasts, fingers teased her nipples until the rose rigid and sensitive to the touch. She arched her back into him, felt his erection as it pressed against her back.
And then she felt him, his inner spirit, his soul. They'd suspected they'd had a bond, but neither had been willing to explore it as young Rangers, neither willing to take the chance that they'd die and leave the other bonded to a memory, lost and alone.
With a sob, she turned into him, threw her arms around his neck, pressed her lips to his, her body against his muscled frame. Zordon.
Dulcea.
He was naked and ready, his skin smooth and hot against hers. She drew him down beside the dancing flames, felt their heat upon her back and his heat against the tender skin of her stomach. Tears slicked their skin while their fingers stumbled and explored bodies that had waited a long time for this day.
Her hands found him, stroked him until he moaned, and their newly consecrated bond sprang to life with passion that set not only her body on fire. She twitched, arching away from him until he captured her, hands cupping her backside as he leaned forward and drove them both to the ground with him on top.
His fingers tickled and teased between her legs; her fingers milked until he spilled sticky warmth across them. The breath caught in her throat when he reached out with his mind and his spirit, touching her inside where they joined, blending their pleasure and their love into one soul that they two shared.
Passion blazed within her, building and spreading as they merged into one. He lifted her body, thrust into her while he raised her to meet him, pounded into her again and again and again until Dulcea was uncertain where one of them ended and the other began.
The orgasm erupted like an earthquake, building and growing as it spread its trembling force between them. But, Dulcea forgot it in a moment as the ecstasy that was them spread through her trembling soul.
One, he whispered inside her mind. One, forever, my love.
Don't go. Already the emptiness left her cold inside.
Reach out to me. His voice grew distant. I will never leave you.
And, when she did, she found him, deep inside her heart.
