Prompt: Transformers (G1), Chromia/Elita One: moving on - old friends
A/N: None
"I can't believe they're all dead," Elita whispered, looking over at Chromia, knowing the other femme was in just as much pain. They were old friends, had known each other for so long, and she could tell that Chromia was trying to hide the pain. She gave the other what she hoped was a comforting smile, moving over to her friend slowly. "Are you going to be okay, Chromia?"
"I'll be fine," Chromia answered quickly, refusing to actually look at Elita, knowing her friend would see through her lie. "Ironhide would have wanted me to be strong, so I will." She smiled slightly as she thought of her deceased lover. "Will you be okay?"
Elita nodded. "Optimus wouldn't have wanted me to feel sorry for myself, so I won't. I'll move on, just like he'd have wanted me to." She sighed. "Even if it does still hurt."
Chromia placed a hand on Elita's shoulder, slowly turning to look at her commander. "You'll always have me, Elita."
The femme commander smiled, leaning over and putting her head on Chromia's shoulder. "Thank you, Chromia." Elita's smiled widened as Chromia's fingers twined with hers. "For now, let's get some recharge."
Chromia nodded, leading the other over to the berth; neither of them needed to be alone since they'd heard the news. They could both use someone with them to comfort them, and she was planning on staying with her friend until they were both truly able to get over their lovers' deaths. She smiled as they laid down, Elita curling up against her. "Recharge well." Chromia chuckled when she didn't get a reply, noticing that the other was already deep in recharge. She sighed as she let herself follow, thinking of Ironhide one last time.
