Author/Artist:
rosehiptea
Rating: PG
Warnings: None really, it's just mild f/f.
Word count: 149
Summary: Reki loses herself in Rakka.
A/N: For the prompt: Haibane Renmei, Reki/Rakka: sleep - "Reki couldn't think about her cocoon dream while Rakka was touching her."
Reki can't think about her cocoon dream when Rakka is touching her. At other times she sees endless metal stretching to nowhere and says "Is that my dream..." But it doesn't haunt her when she can have hands and kisses and a human connection which seems to fit her as new clothing would.
There is a light she sees in the distance, and she knows it is coming for her, but she loses herself in Rakka and her caresses. She forgets the white stone and bittersweet moonlight and sees fiery reds and brittle blues that are never found in Glie.
And later, with Rakka pillowed on her chest, she ponders it all -- communication, regret, and how to forget the one thing she must remember.
"I don't want to go away," she says to a sleeping Haibane and an indifferent room. Then she sleeps herself, and dreams of feathers.
