As the daughter of a high-class family, Kirijo Mitsuru was used to the finest and the most expensive. She did interact with normal people on a regular basis, and yet she hardly knew of the things they enjoyed. So when Yukari asked her out on a date and then took her to a small, cute ramen restaurant, Mitsuru was pleasantly surprised.
The ramen was hot and spicy, with the hint of a bittersweet aftertaste. It tasted nothing like the ramen Mitsuru normally ate; it didn't taste of quality, expensive ingredients, but the chefs were friendly and often asked if the customers were enjoying their meals. Of course, it was just merely food, but although it was food she was unfamiliar with, it was very delicious.
"Mitsuru-sempai, look over here," Yukari said, her voice bringing Mitsuru back into reality.
"Yes, Yuka-?" Mitsuru was cut off when Yukari gently shoved some noodles into her mouth. When she closed her lips around those chopsticks, she suddenly thought, Wait, Yukari was using… Her face became red even before she finished that thought.
Yukari giggled and then said, "Is it too hot for you?"
Mitsuru finished chewing and swallowed. "You shouldn't tease me like that," she replied, averting her face from Yukari's.
Yukari's smile became wider. "Sorry. You looked like you were spacing out." She then rested her head on Mitsuru's shoulder. "I'm happy you came here with me."
"And I'm happy you asked me out. Thank you, Yukari."
Mitsuru still had a bittersweet aftertaste in her mouth from the ramen, and it made her think of how Yukari's lips were much sweeter.
