A/N: I'm sorry it's late

Wheeljack rested his head against Ratchet's shoulder, sighing; he'd resigned himself to the fate that was sure to come for him and the medic. After all, they'd been trapped in there for Primus knows how long and hadn't heard anything from anyone. 'Lovers and friends...we've only just begun. As tall as the mountain high, as long as the river runs...Too bad it's all going to end here.' He sighed softly, feeling Ratchet shift in front of him.

Ratchet frowned; he'd known Wheeljack long enough to know that the engineer never acted like he was. "They're going to come," he whispered, looking over his shoulder. "You know that as well as I do." He turned a little so he could rest his head on the other's chassis. "They'd never just abandon us."

"I know they'll come for us. Problem is will they be in time?"

"Yes."

"How can you be so sure?"

"'Jack, I've been with the Autobots longer than you have. Trust me on this. They'll make sure they get here before anything else happens."

Wheeljack shrugged, tensing when he heard a creaking outside the closet they were trapped in. He pulled his lover closer, noticing that the CMO looked as nervous as he was. He listened carefully, trying to figure out who was outside the closet. Unfortunately, he didn't have long to do that as the floor everything around them collapsed downwards.

Wheeljack groaned as he regained consciousness. Looking around, he sighed. He could see Ratchet looking for a way out of their current predicament. He winced as he tried to sit up.

"Don't move," Ratchet ordered. "You broke my fall and were injured pretty badly." He spun around and walked back over to the engineer, sitting down next to the other. "There's no way out. Looks like we just have to sit here and wait." He took one of Wheeljack's hands in his.

"Ratch, I don't think-" he started.

"I already knew that." Ratchet smirked as he was hit by a glare from the other. "Things are going to be fine, 'Jack. Prime won't give up until he finds us. And, even if he comes across as an ass, Prowl won't stop either. They're both too stubborn to."

Wheeljack chuckled, looking around. "Where exactly are we?"

"It's something under the ground. I never knew that there was a building underground here. I think it's one that was built just in case the war did start. It was for those who didn't want to get involved." Ratchet sighed. "I guess this one never had the chance to be used."

Wheeljack nodded. "Looks that way."

Ratchet sighed, lying down beside Wheeljack. He curled up against his lover, resting his head on the other's shoulder.

Time seemed to pass slowly as the two waited to be rescued. At some point, they both managed to slip into a restless recharge.

Ratchet onlined his optics with a start when he realized that they weren't in a pile of debris anymore. He frowned as he looked around, finding himself in a familiar medbay. A smile tugged at his lips as he saw Wheeljack on a berth close to him.

"You two are lucky," First Aid said, sounding annoyed. "When Prowl's group found you, you two are almost dead." He folded his arms over his chassis. "And it's a good thing you were the one to teach me. If it had been anyone else, I probably wouldn't have been able to."

Ratchet shook his head, smiling at his student.

First Aid sighed, looking over as Wheeljack onlined. "Well, you're both fine, but Prowl says you're both not being put back on duty until you're rested sufficiently." He looked back at Ratchet. "Now, get out of my medbay." He smirked under his mask as Ratchet sputtered; he'd always wondered what would happen if he got the chance to use that line on Ratchet.

Wheeljack shook his head as he grabbed Ratchet's arm and dragged the CMO out of the medbay. He chuckled as he listened to his lover cursing. Before Ratchet could protest, he ran a finger over the glass of the other's windshield, making the other shiver.

"Not in public," Ratchet hissed, looking at Wheeljack.

Wheeljack smirked under his mask, looking over at a storage closet. He pushed Ratchet in that direction, opening the door quickly.

"What is it with you and closets?"

Wheeljack just shrugged and pushed Ratchet in, following and shutting the door behind them, making sure to lock it so no one would interrupt them.
