Prompt: Junjou Romantica, Miyagi/Shinobu: Shinobu in Australia, thinking about Miyagi. - “It hurt him too much to think about it, but he still loved him.”
Note: SORRY THAT THIS WAS LATE! This could have been a lot better and came out more PWP than I thought it would, but hey. At least I got it done.
“Hey Shinobu, what's your favorite part about living in Australia?”
When a newly made friend would ask him that he had to hold his tongue. For him, the best part about living in Australia was being away from the constant reminder of his heart ache and cursed destiny. There was no Miyagi Yoh to look at him. Subconsciously remind him of the fact that they could never be together.
So Shinobu would give various answers “the food”, “the weather”... small things that didn't really matter to him. He couldn't let anyone know what he truly liked about living away from Japan or what he missed.
It would be very contradicting.
It wasn't until the fourth week in that he began to get calls from his family. Mostly his father. The calls from his father sounded as if they were done out obligation rather than actual concern. Then the calls from his sister... she would scold him for not calling their father more and keep him a little up to date with her married life... as if he wanted to hear about that.
And then... Shinobu wasn't sure why it happened or even how the man had gotten his phone number. But Miyagi had called and left a message.
It had shocked him so much at first that he had snapped his phone shut instantly. But after a little thought, he finally listened to the whole thing. His heart thumped wildly at the sound of Miyagi speaking his name, asking him if he was angry with him, how he was doing and then to take care. It all sounded so brotherly, in a sense. But with Miyagi. Shinobu wished it would mean more.
–
Sometimes, Shinobu wished that idiot would have never left him a message on his phone. It only added fuel to the already blazing fire with in his heart. He could remember Miyagi's serene face at the library, and now... he had a voice he could listen to as he painted the imagery in his mind, besides the voice from memory... He propped his phone beside him, playing the message once more.
It was slightly painful, imagining would could have been. He could have approached Miyagi at the library... they could have gotten to know each other. Miyagi would be annoying... he was sure of it, but he was sure the man was capable of great love.
Great love that was meant to be aimed at him!
And though his dreams would often be sweet, there were times where it would get a little steamy.
The voice message definitely didn't help there. The images stood out too clearly now.
Miyagi's large body hovering over his. Large hand running down his sides, teasing him.
“Stupid old man! Stop playing around.”
“A little anxious, aren't we Shinobu?”
That voice... he groaned at the thought of that brotherly tone being playfully erotic. The feeling of that hand, finally going inside of his pants. He gasped as he grabbed himself, clenching his eyes shut as the illusion in his mind picked up.
Miyagi would kiss him as his hand worked on him. The kiss would probably taste of nicotine.... as Risako mentioned Miyagi's “problem”. But Shinobu felt himself longing to taste it. That sinful taste...
He panted as Miyagi would fumble with his own belt buckle, pulling out his arousal. He would align the two and rub them in one hand.
“Ah!”
“So cute, Shinobu-chin, you came so fast!”
“Shut up old man!”
And what was with the 'chin'? And yet... it sounded so right. He felt his trembling hand reach down, by passing his semi-erect cock, soaked with his orgasm, to gently prod at his opening with a single digit. “A-Ah!”
In his mind's eye, that finger belonged to Miyagi. The man would gently push his finger in, slick with lube, moving inside of him.
“M-Miyagi!”
The man would add another finger, pulling out slightly only to shove them back in... fucking him with his hand.
And Shinobu came for the second time that night, right when the message once again asked him to take care and ended... The electronic voice began and Shinobu shut his phone, grabbing for the tissues.
He bit his lip as he cleaned himself off. How dirty... he'd just fantasized about his sister's husband and didn't feel guilty at all. If anything it only hurt to know Miyagi would never look at him that way. The man would love Risako, give Risako babies, and grow old with Risako. He would never once truly look at him.
Yes, his destiny was definitely cursed.
–
Shinobu tapped his pencil on the desk by the window. It was mid-April and he was currently studying when he heard footsteps. He glanced toward the door to see his host mother appear at the door, rapping at it gently.
“Shinobu. Your sister is on the phone.”
Shinobu felt his brow quirk at the mention of his sister. A few weeks ago they had talked and Risako sounded as if something was going on between her and Miyagi... as if the two of them were having troubles. His heart flipped in his chest as he reached for the phone, picking it up and waving to his host mother. She nodded and hung up the cordless phone and left Shinobu alone.
Shinobu licked his lips before speaking. “Is there something you need?”
Risako huffed. “Is that the way to say hello to your sister?”
Shinobu frowned into the phone. Risako took his silence and began to talk. “I just wanted to inform you of what was going on. Yoh and I are getting a divorce.”
“...What?”
“Things... they have gotten complicated on both sides. We both think it's best to end it now before things get too complicated.”
Risako had no idea how truly complicated it was and now made it even more! Shinobu's heart flipped again in his chest and he switched the phone from one hand to the other. “You're really divorcing!?”
Risako sighed into the phone. “I thought you'd be happy. I thought you hated Yoh.”
Shinobu frowned. He didn't hate the man... far from it. Risako continued. “Anyways, I just thought I'd let you know... he was your brother-in-law for a short amount of time, I didn't want you coming back to Japan and being left out of the loop.”
“I'll be coming home.”
“What?”
“I'll make it back as soon as I can.”
Risako's voice sounded flattered, obviously taking it the wrong way. “Shinobu, no need to fret over something like this.”
“I'll call father when I depart.”
He hung up, turning back to his paper... his heart fluttering wildly. Perhaps his destiny wasn't so cursed after all...
