Prompt: #17. Final Fantasy VII, Vincent/Cloud or Cloud/Vincent: Biting - "There was something unhuman about Vincent, and Cloud seemed to be the only one completely unfazed by that fact."

Love At First Bite

Cloud didn’t miss the way the others looked at Vincent when they thought he wasn’t looking. He wasn’t sure Vincent noticed. If he did, he didn’t seem to care. He did keep his distance, though, wrapped up--or pretending to be--in their quest to destroy Sephiroth and save their world from Meteor.

There was something about him…something almost inhuman. Maybe it was the color of his eyes or the way they glowed in the dark. Maybe it was his movements, the unearthly grace of them, and the air of mystery that clung to him like the red tatters of cloak he always wore. Cloud thought it might have been the fact that they’d found him locked inside a coffin that had unnerved the others…alive inside the coffin, depending on what one’s definition was of alive.

He wasn’t like them. They had known that from the first battle, from the first time he had changed, then later when he’d admitted that Hojo had experimented on him like he had with Sephiroth.

“Cloud?” The voice was clear, vibrant, yet as soft as the wind that whispered around them.

Cloud blinked, amazed to discover Vincent sitting on the boulder beside him. His eyes darted to the fire where the others sat. Hadn’t Vincent been there just a moment before?

“They’re afraid of what they don’t understand.” There was no malice in his voice. If anything, there was a trace of sympathy, perhaps.

“Isn’t that the way it is with everybody?”

Vincent pinned him with those glowing eyes. “Are you afraid?”

Cloud looked away. “Of myself, maybe.” Why was he confiding in Vincent? Why could he tell him things he couldn’t admit to the others? “Of not knowing who I really am.”

“Do the others know the truth?” Vincent’s eyes scoured the members of their party, lighting on Barrett, on Yuffie, on Red XIII. “Do they know…” Tifa. “What you really are?” Aeris.

The Ancient looked up, as if she’d felt their eyes on her. A smiled curled her lips. Cloud dropped his eyes.

“Yes.” Vincent smiled. “She knows.”

Cloud leapt down from his rocky perch, stomping off into the woods that surrounded the camp. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Don’t you?” Vincent dropped from the branches of a tree in front of him, his cloak caught up in a swirl of breeze. He laid one hand flat on Cloud’s chest. “I can feel them in you. Jenova cells. We are part of the same consciousness, you and Sephiroth and I. You can feel that, can’t you, somewhere deep inside?”

The touch tingled and Cloud felt himself rise, his erection pushing against his leather pants. If Vincent noticed, he didn’t let on and Cloud back-pedaled, suddenly desperate to get away from the other man.

“You can’t fight it, Cloud.”

The words troubled him. Vincent was beginning to sound like Sephiroth, his voice as mesmerizing as his eyes.

“It’s who you are.” Vincent smiled. “Who we all are.”

Cloud turned to find Vincent blocking his path. “Get out of my way. I’m going back to camp.”

Vincent’s smile deepened. “It only hurts the first time.”

“What do you mean?” Cloud dropped back a step, panic rising inside him. “What hurts?” he reached back for his sword, a sword that wasn’t there. Damn it. He’d left it beside Aeris at the fire.

Vincent had him by the shoulders before he could think and the thrill that had sparked inside Cloud grew into a blazing, unquenchable desire. He fought to break the other man’s grip, but it was a half-hearted struggle, born more of the desire to keep face than to actually free himself. There was something exciting, some energy, some desire that flickered between them, something powerful and magnetic, something Cloud longed to explore.

Their lips met in a crush of passion that blinded Cloud, desperate longing that culminated in the need to be fulfilled. His fingers curled around the front of Vincent’s cloak, pulling him closer, holding him as if he’d escape.

He didn’t remember undressing, but before he realized it, their clothes lay in heaps at their feet. On the outside, Vincent looked human enough, though Cloud could feel the raging beast that dwelled inside him. The Jenova cells in his own body throbbed in response, raising a fear in him that he’d someday end up like Vincent or Sephiroth and that there was nothing he could do to stop the transformation.

His fingers closed round Vincent’s erection. He stroked and milked until he thought Vincent would explode. Vincent’s caresses grew bolder, his mouth more daring as he nipped and bit at Cloud’s lips, his chest, his stomach. Cloud hardened until he longed for release.

“Together, brother.” Vincent’s voice whispered against his neck.

Cloud shuddered. Goosebumps spread out along his skin. His fingers worked more desperately when Vincent throbbed beneath his touch.

With a moan, he came, leaning against Cloud with such force, he drove the younger man down. The two crashed to the carpet of grass together, wet with Vincent’s spray. He buried his teeth deep in the side of Cloud’s neck and in that instant, the two mean became one, sharing thoughts and feelings, memories and desires.

The muscles in Cloud’s groin tightened. His erection throbbed. Tiny tremors of pleasure turned into an ecstasy that spread over him even before orgasm hit. Release washed over him like a crashing wave; his body shuddered--once, twice, three times before they lay spent on the blanket of grass, Vincent’s head on his chest.

He lost track of how much time they’d lain motionless before Vincent raised his head to howl at the globe of moon hanging high overhead.

A smile quirked the corners of his mouth. “I knew you’d understand, Cloud. I knew you were different from the others.”

“Maybe being different isn’t as bad as I thought it would be.” He offered Vincent a smile of his own.

Moonlight glinted off Vincent’s inhuman eyes. “There’s still a lot of night left.”

He dropped his mouth to Cloud’s chest, nibbled his way down to the sticky remains of their release. He licked until Cloud was clean; his tongue raised the desire inside Cloud all over again.

When his mouth closed over Cloud’s erection and his teeth settled into the tender skin, it was Cloud’s turn to howl. His back arched, his fingers tore at the ground as he exploded into the heat of Vincent’s mouth.
