This is inspired by the replies left in my previous post.

So, how are we doing folks? Have you just started writing, about halfway done with your prompts, or all finished? Has a bunny hijacked your brain and turned what you thought would be a very short fic into a monster?  Were you hoping for smut, but they just WON'T STOP TALKING? Are you frustrated? Do you need a drink or maybe three?


Talk to me! Or just vent.

Finished my 7th one last night, which means I've hit the halfway mark. woo!

One of the others is threatening monstrosity, but I'm hoping I can keep it down to 1500 words or so.

The other one that I've started is refusing to get smutty in any reasonable amount of time -- not hugely surprised, as it's one of the FFXII ones, and that fandom seems to be producing a really high adventures-to-smut ratio for me. But I'm really hoping that I can at least get a handjob out of them. >->

So that leaves just five more for me to fit in between my other challenges! (...and about three others on the prompt list that I wish I'd picked up but have managed to stop myself.)

It becomes more clear why I have so many "being a dork" icons.

Well, in more detail:

3 Saiyuki prompts - 1 nearly finished, and currently 1500 words (although actually *ending* it as opposed to just *stopping* could take another 500, easily); 2 not started.

4 Weiss Kreuz - 3 started (each 2-300 words atm). The fourth wants to be a couple of thousand, which is why I'm hiding from it and quaking in my boots.

1 Yami no Matsuei - Roughly done, but needs beating into shape with a smallsh oak tree. Should be c500 words once I 've cut out the crap & put in the smut...

WELL. Arrancar porn and I tend to click like whoa, especially when Grimmjow and Ulquiorra are involved, so most of that is finished. Now if I could get Yammy to have sex and not giggle like a loon when I do so, we might be making some progress.

OTZ I am failing with my girlporn, though, since I rarely do write Karakura folks.

I'm doing two art pieces, both fairly naughty. :3

The first was coming along fairly well, but I freaked out and stopped for a while. Drawing lineart on the computer= very frustrating.

The second one is much better, and has taken me a very long time, but is definitely one of the better things I've ever done.

Both will be done for the deadline, possibly well in advance :)

I currently have two KH prompts which I know what to write for, it just won't quite come out yet. I have two other projects which will be finished by tomorrow, all fingers crossed, so then I'm settling down with KH. They shouldn't be two longer, either, so I'm not worried - yet. :D

Written four of nine, which technically means I'm about half done. Except that they're all in my notebook (and actually reasonably short), and I have no idea how much they're gonna want to change/grow when I type them up.

Indeed. Certain characters need to talk less and...uhm...engage in other activities more.

I had to completely restart one because the pair of them were just talking and talking so that even the rest of the characters were like, hurry up and get it on or off already!

I have two done already! Soon to be sent to a beta.

The others... I just have to get a starting line that works and then I'll be able to write them. I know how they're supposed to go, I've just not found the moment when to actually start them.

I only claimed two prompts for this year (and it's my first year), but that's because school is stressful.

I started working on my Hwan/Yaone story and love what I have so far, but I realize that it's taken a completely different direction than what I wanted to do with this prompt, and doesn't really stick with the prompt anymore. So I'm setting it aside and will rework it when I have time, and write something else.

My original idea is a lot of fun, and if I do it how I'm aiming to, it'll be exactly 3500 words - 7 sections of 500 words each.


In KKM news (I had Conrad/Yuuri), I have an idea but just haven't started it yet. I'm not too worried because I have over a month until that one is due.

About halfway done... and very, very frustrated as:

This fic here refuses to have anything even resembling plot, and I wanted plot, even though it wasn't required.

This fic here refuses to move on to the porn and it SHOULD be porn and nothing else, damn it....

And these last two? I'm about a quarter of the way through the source, making detailed notes as I go, because the stories are refusing to be written without sub-plot and I want to scream. Loudly. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH!

Sounds great! But you know sometimes the story takes you where it wants to go. You can shape it and mold it, but sometimes it just wants to be what it is. *says the girl who hasn't written fic in over two years*

Just one more week (and a half) until I get past exams and I can really start writing again. At this point I've only got 1/5 started and I don't like it much so I'm starting over. Fortunately, I'm mostly in the second half of the month. But, on the other hand, I've got four or five other stories due in the same time period.

Been having more fun with this than remixredux (which is killing me, as ever), and can't wait to get one or two of the yaoi_challenge fics finished, but this is going really well so far; got 10/14 done so far, just waiting for the Yami no Matsuei guys to get talking to me because so far they're just... just looking pretty, and while that's all good, it's not so much fun to write!

Am especially in love with one or two of the finished ones. Reno in particular's been fun, and for some reason Dante from Devil May Cry wants to be in everything I write XD.

I could do with drinks until the Yami no Matsuei lot start being useful, mind :).
