Prompt: Kingdom Hearts, Tentacle/Sora: Tentacles - One world Sora will never forget.
Despite their startling appearance - like flowers, he'd thought at first, their long thin petals dancing slowly in a nonexistent wind - Sora sensed they were like White Mushrooms, Heartless that weren't interested in attacking anybody. He walked through them fearlessly, or sloshed anyway through ankle-deep water that felt surprisingly warm, and watched them move around him out of the corners of his eyes. Less like flowers, more like anemones, he decided, the petals gently-waving arms. The tips were variegated, deep rusty-reds fading to mottled greens and purples, but the places where the appendages melded smoothly into the bulb-shaped body were black, night-black, Heartless black, and Sora tried not to look too long. Donald and Goofy would be looking for him, and he wouldn't be easy to spot here; Sora sloshed ahead determinedly, boots kicking up showers of spray.
Not that he had any idea where he was going. The landscape was unbroken, Heartless-arms waving hypnotically as far as the eye could see. Behind him was the place he'd fallen when their gummi ship had finally succumbed to attack over the horizon of this world; in front of him (he hoped) were Donald, Goofy and the lock he still needed to find.
Sora halted, scanning the horizon - but for some darker smudges against the dusky, subtly alien blue-gray, it was empty. He groaned aloud and slumped. "This is gonna take forever," he lamented.
He barely noticed the weight at his back until he was halfway down into it, sinking into a nest of dark petals that arranged themselves around him like a lady's skirts. "Thanks," he said automatically, and received a pat on the head in reply.
"I guess this isn't such a bad place," he allowed musingly. "It's just colder than I'm used to. No people, but - oh, sorry," he amended with a laugh when his host wriggled in protest. "Nobody but you guys. But you get along just fine, don't you?"
Another hearty wriggle, and an appendage slid across his lap, heavy and surprisingly warm. Completely on impulse, Sora took the middle finger of his glove between his teeth and stripped it off. "Do you know," he said thoughtfully, "I think this is the first time I've ever touched a Heartless on purpose." The tentacle on his lap gave an encouraging wriggle, and he took a deep breath and placed his bare palm on the night-black tentacle.
Instantly it reared up and wrapped around his arm, not hard but firm, and Sora might have reacted badly except the Keyblade, still safely sheathed in his heart, wasn't humming at him the way it did when even a White Mushroom was near. So he held still and let the tentacle probe and explore his bare arm.
"It's a glove," he explained when the tip quested up to bat at the bit of cloth still dangling from his mouth. "It's not part of me." He obligingly dropped it, and another tentacle caught it, bore it away in a roil of black. He would have followed its path but for a sudden warmth against his neck.
"Um," he said intelligently as the tentacle slowly traced the bone of his jaw. "That's... part of me."
The tentacle curled over his skin, startlingly close to his mouth, then turned and abruptly dove into his shirt. Sora yelped, squirming as it moved fearlessly down his chest. "Hey, hey, that tickles!" he cried. "Hey!"
The tentacle paused, bunching in his shirt almost guiltily. "Um - my boots," Sora said quickly. "Let me get them off first. I don't want to kick you by accident."
The Heartless wriggled questioningly. Two tentacles wrapped around his ankles and lifted, nearly upending him with another surprised yelp. "Well, that's one way to keep me from kicking you," Sora admitted, then added, "Hey!" as all at once his clothes were invaded with eager tendrils of darkness.

"Sora? Sora!"
Sora groaned and opened one eye. Augh, too bright. He resolutely shut it again.
"Hey, Donald! I found Sora!"
Groaning again, Sora turned his head and tried to put an arm over his eyes. His arms wouldn't move, and after a moment's panic the boy realized why - he was wrapped up, from head to toe, in night-black tentacles that gripped him stubbornly. The main body of the Heartless was moving gently underneath him, in a rhythmic rocking motion that reminded Sora of someone deeply asleep.
The implications of this were worrying, of course, but Sora had no time to process them before Donald stuck his beak in his face. "Where have you been?" the diminuitive wizard demanded, masking the worry that Goofy was clearly displaying from behind him. "We searched half the world looking for you!" He squinted suspiciously. "And where are your clothes?"
Sora hung his head and moaned.
