Summary: Wings and flight are always fascinating.
A/N: Another ficverse one. Hopefully those who read’ll like it. I don’t think any of the senshi other then Usagi/Chibi Usa/the Starlights are ever shown with wings, but I firmly believe all of them have them.
Disclaimer: I don’t own the ideas for FFVII or Sailor Moon, nor am I making any money off of this.
Prompt: Final Fantasy VII/Sailor Moon, Sephiroth/Sailor Saturn: Feathers - ‘May nothing harm you/ I’m still inside you/ with my wings around you.’
Worldwind
Sephiroth finds Hotaru’s world and people fascinating. They live in a palace made of crystal, but even the lowest person may wander in and out as he pleases. They are warriors that Shinra corp would kill to have in SOLDIER, female or not, but they are also skilled diplomats and artists. They are, as far as Sepiroth can tell, a unique race.
And they fly as if it means nothing to them.
The first time Sephiroth saw one of them make a quick, flying hip to get where she needed to go, he’d been amazed. Even the males, though there were fewer of them, could do it, though they privately seemed embarrassed to admit it. Hotaru rarely does so, but Sephiroth loves to preen her feathers for her. She makes such cute sounds. He’s watching her with the young Princess, wistfully long for a child to call their own. Hotaru smiles as she shoos Chibi Usa off, coming over to hug him and stand on tiptoes for a kiss.
“Yen for your thoughts, Seph.”
“I want a child.” Sephiroth blurts it out, startled. He quickly opens his mouth to take it back, but Hotaru extends her wings, wrapping them around him the way he’s observed other senshi do with their lovers.
“May nothing harm you, I’m still inside you, with my wings around you.” A senshi lullaby, or as close as they come to such. ‘We’ll have to get married, but a child’s a splendid idea.” Sephiroth calms, breathing the scent of nightshade and moondust that Hotaru’s wings grant him.
Surrounded by feathers, he thinks that perhaps this will work after all.
