Ukoku loves seeing Koumyou like this, his limbs askew, pale body glistening with sweat, eyes mostly closed. This is a Koumyou that only Ukoku gets to see, and he revels in it.
It’s the eyes that truly thrill him. Koumyou’s eyes are rich and heavy with desire. It sends shivers down Ukoku’s skin to know that that desire is for him and no one else.
No one should look at me like that, he thinks not quite sadly. It makes me want to hurt them.
“Do you want me to touch you?” he murmurs silkily as he leans over Koumyou. “Yes, I’m sure you do.” Koumyou reaches out to grab his hand, but he pulls it deftly out of reach.
“But,” he says softly into Koumyou’s ear as he dances his hand along Koumyou’s chest, the tips of his fingers just barely grazing his lover’s skin, “life is suffering, isn’t it?”
The feel of Koumyou’s skin distracts him, and Koumyou takes the opportunity to draw him into an embrace and kiss him firmly. Ukoku is affronted at first, but returns the kiss. It is Koumyou who pulls away. He’s wearing a smile that manages to be both wry and wise at the same time. “Suffering can be overcome, Ukoku.”
“By ending desire,” Ukoku retorts, caressing Koumyou’s chest. “Do you really want that?” He grins wickedly.
Koumyou kisses him again. “Suffering can also be overcome by achieving nirvana.”
“You intend to achieve nirvana by orgasm?” Ukoku asks skeptically.
Koumyou blinks guilelessly at him. “You don’t think it will work?”
Ukoku smirks. “It’s worth a try.” He begins to massage Koumyou’s thigh, enjoying the way it makes the older man squirm. “You never answered my question, you know?”
“And what was that?”
“Is life suffering?” Ukoku reaches for the small bottle of oil that Koumyou keeps in his room—well hidden, of course, so that no innocent, wide eyed novice will stumble across it. Ukoku thinks it’s a shame. He would love to see the looks on their faces. He dips his fingers into the bottle then pushes one inside Koumyou.
Koumyou winces a bit. “I believe that life is what we make of it. Nirvana is wherever we choose to find it.” He moans as Ukoku inserts another finger and brushes against his prostate.
“You’d deny what the Lord Buddha teaches, then? How sacrilegious. The other monks would be shocked to learn that the great Koumyou Sanzo is such a blasphemous man.” Maybe even more shocked than if they found the bottle of oil and guessed its purpose. Not all of the older monks could be that naïve.
“The Buddha also warns against attachment, including attachment to his teachings,” Koumyou responds. He pauses to gasp as Ukoku begins to move his fingers faster and more purposefully. “If you meet the Buddha—“ He’s unable to finish the phrase as he comes with a soft cry.
“Fuck the Buddha,” Ukoku finishes for him, grinning widely.
“Not quite what I was going to say,” Koumyou says sleepily, clearly beginning to nod off.
Ukoku prods him. “Hey, don’t go to sleep. It’s my turn.”
“Life is suffering, my dear Ukoku,” Koumyou tells him drowsily. Ukoku can hear the laughter in his god damned voice.
“Bastard,” Ukoku grumbles, grasping his cock.
