Title:  Bleed it Out

Summary:  All too often, we hurt what we love.

A/N:   Erm, dark and twisted and slightly sick.  I can never figure out what corner of my mind this kind of stuff comes from, and usually, I don’t want to know.

Prompt: Final Fantasy VII/Sailor Moon, Sephiroth/Sailor Saturn: Chains:  cut these eyes and I will see/ kiss these lying lips for me/ stroke this skin and I will kneel/ brutalize me, I will heal.

 

Bleed it Out

 

“You really want me to do this, Hotaru?  There has to be another way…”

 

“It’s okay.  Brutalize me, I will heal.”  It hurt her to see the pain on the 14 year olds face.  Sephiroth didn’t deserve this torture.  Still, if he didn’t, Hojo would have them both of them down there and bleeding.  It wasn’t even out of scientific curiosity most of the time, but malice.  At least there was no malice in Sephiroth.  Yet.  Setsuna Mama said that Sephiroth’s fate was fixed, but Hotaru couldn’t believe that.  Everyone had said her own fate was fixed, but she’d over come it. She wasn’t mindless death and destruction anymore.  Surely Sephiroth could become something more then his destiny indicated.

 

“Kiss these lying lips for me.”  Hotaru smiled, acquiescing to Sephiroth’s request, even as the first cut blinded her temporarily.  She’d heal, there wasn’t much that could permanently hurt her.  Not even death.

 

“Cut these eyes and I will see, kiss these lying lips for me, stroke this skin and I will kneel…”  Hotaru whispered, almost setting the act up.  Sephiroth did so, watching Hotaru kneel, blood covered blind face staring up at him with inhuman calmness and patience.

 

“Brutalize me, I will heal.”  There was no anger or hatred, only acceptance.

 

Sephiroth closed his eyes as he began following the precise cuts Hojo had indicated he wanted.  He could never stand to see her body healing itself, muscles and veins writhing back together like worms crawling.  If he closed his eyes, if he took himself away from what he did to Hotaru…

 

Then maybe he wasn’t a monster.

Whoa, this was dark, for sure! But very interersting. It sounds like there's more background to this, like we're seeing a situation in the middle of things... but that's good! It keeps a sense of mystery (like how exactly Hotaru ended up in Hojo's lab... world/time travel, or was she always there?) The last lines were very powerful; I could see Sephiroth having that sort of horrified wish to escape from what he was doing. Great as always!
