Cantarella (Cesare/Chiaro)
Dec. 4th, 2007 06:51 pmTitle: Terms of Agreement
Author: Eike (
yhibiki)
Rating: PG-13?
Prompt: Cantarella, Cesare/Chiaro: loyalty: the beast within
Warnings: Torture
Summary: A misunderstanding on the term "loyalty."
A/N: I hope the original requester is all right with this interpretation of the prompt. I saw it and thought, there really should be more Cantarella fanfiction. I also think it's vague enough to not include any spoilers -- I was following the German release and got all the way until volume 10 or so, but I'm not sure how much has been released in English.
ALSO: I tried tagging the fic, but it wouldn't let me. :( "This would make you exceed 1000 tags."
"I believe we had an agreement," Cesare said. Chiaro groaned in response; he didn't have the energy to do much else. The chains around his wrists had been biting into his skin for the past.... hours? days? ... and had finally succeeded in actually cutting him. It hadn't helped that all the flogging had jostled him a lot.
Cesare leaned in closer, the warmth of his breath welcome even in this situation. He began licking one of the many wounds across Chiaro's chest, making him shiver more than the cold was.
"You were going to kill me."
Cesare's lips grazed past a particularly nasty cut (had that been made with the knife or his nails?) and Chiaro moaned again. The sound seemed to only encourage Cesare, because he began concentrating on that area -- first a kiss, then a lick, and suddenly he had bitten off part of Chiaro's flesh. He would have screamed, but after however-long it had been under Cesare's torture, his voice had worn itself out.
"I trusted you, Chiaro." A hand came to rest on his neck. Chiaro opened his eyes enough to see Cesare's face, mouth smeared with blood. The gleam in his eyes reminded Chiaro much of his own father, so many years ago.
"This is your own fault, you know," Cesare continued. He was caressing Chiaro's cheek, and pressing down into any bruises his fingers crossed. "You should have killed me. But instead, you left me." Here he kissed Chiaro's lips. Chiaro's jaw was slack; there was no way he could have resisted the intrusion of Cesare's tongue. He could taste his own blood, would have vomited if there had been anything left in his stomach to purge.
"So I'm going to keep you here, where you can't leave me anymore." His nails dug into Chiaro's cheek; Chiaro could feel the fresh wound bleed.
He closed his eyes again and listened to Cesare, and could only think that even now, he wouldn't be able to kill the other man -- already lost to the demons or not.

Date: 2007-12-04 11:10 am (UTC)Cantarella (http://www.amazon.com/Cantarella-1-You-Higuri/dp/0976895706/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1196766372&sr=8-2), by You Higuri. It's kind of a historical fiction centering around the Borgia family (Italy's first real mafia family XD) back in the "middle ages." :3 Cesare is really hot. I just wish You Higuri would stop with the UST with her male characters. Every single series, yet nobody seems to ever get together. (Disclaimer: I've read two of her series XD )

Date: 2007-12-05 08:04 pm (UTC)I wish I'd had more to say, but it was rather short, so there wasn't much room for me to praise (or criticize, lol) <3 I would like to see anything else you write for Cantarella. (Almost wrote Gorgeous Carat-- gah, You Higuri, you're infecting my brain with beautiful men!)

I haven't read the series in a while though, I just know that with each volume I started getting more and more frustrated at You Higuri ^^;; At this point, I think I'd be okay with Cesare/Sancia, because at least Sancia isn't all cute and innocent and naive the way Lucrezia is. (Of course, there's other reasons Sancia wouldn't go with him, but.... anyway.)

Date: 2007-12-06 03:18 am (UTC)Sancia is cool. She shouldn't be, because all she wants is strong men, but as you said, she's not like... all naive about it. She's a mean character and she knows it.

Date: 2007-12-06 09:56 am (UTC)And I think she's already kind of given her "own spin" on things XD From what I remember (=my friend told me) Lucrezia was definitely a lot more of a bitch than she's portrayed as now.

Date: 2010-04-25 09:53 pm (UTC)compliments, you made a great job and this fic was... so damn perfect. Cesare should have done this, and Chiaro isn't a victim of circumstances (just if the "circumstance" is named Lucrezia -.-)
Chiaro is a traitor, he left Cesare when he needed him the most... poor Cesare, he loved Chiaro and Chiaro eloped with his sister... we all know very well that higuri yuu knows how to be hated by her fans XD
Now I'm counting on Della Volpe/Cesare... you may hate him, but he is loyal to Cesare and truly loves him ù___ù
die Chiaro, you deserve it ù_____ù
(and that b***h should die too, well in history she was really almost a prostitute XD)
there should be more fic on cantarella, but it seems that no one knows this beautiful manga ç___ç
OMG
