Prompt: X-Men (movieverse), Nightcrawler/Storm: in a rainstorm - "Grace finds beauty in everything."
A/N: I humbly apologize to the submitter for how awful this is. I started out fine, then I realized I was using the characterization I remembered from reading the comics in the 80's and 90's, which is COMPLETELY different from the movies' characterizations. Takes place in between X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand. I used this Angel Guide to help with angel names and aspects.

He ran his finger over his self-inflicted scars. Chamuel’s message of self-acceptance had been one of the first he carved into himself, for if one could not accept themselves, how could others? As his finger moved, the angels named themselves in his mind: Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, Raphael, Zadkiel… protectors and guides in this life and the next.

She walked like an angel in the rain, face upturned and peaceful. He knew it was blasphemous to think of her as a one of the Heavenly Hosts, but here, in her element, she was as close as he would get to beauty and perfection. Hael, angel of kindness, and Camael, Archangel of love, showered their attention upon her.

Here, in between the drops, he could walk without shame, and offer her his hand. She would take it without flinching, accepting his offering. Haniel would bless their friendship, because grace finds beauty in everything, and sees beyond the outer skin.

This was my prompt and I LOVE IT!
I would have totally forgiven you for injecting comic-verse Storm and Nightcrawler, because I read those '80's and '90's comics, too (and the Classic X-men reissues.)
But this fit in so well with the movie-verse. It's short, but very sweet.
As a huge Nightcrawler fan, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

I didn't much care for movie!Nightcrawler, so I'll happily take your characterization, thanks. :)

Oh, this is simply gorgeous. And the last line? Glorious. Interestingly, Nightcrawler is my very favorite character from this 'verse, and Storm my least, and yet somehow you just made it work. Thank you so much for sharing. (mems)
