A/N: Just a drablet, sorry, Penelo was being bashful
“You look quite pleased with yourself,” Balthier murmured as Fran slid into the co-pilot’s seat.
“Why wouldn’t I be?” she teased. “She is an eager student, ready to learn.”
Balthier grumbled something that would have been unintelligible to a hume’s deaf ears, but not to her’s, and couldn’t resist teasing him some more. “Is your apprentice – “
“He’s not my damn apprentice!”
“Ah. My apologies.” She turned towards the Strahl’s controls. Her lips were still curled in a hint of a smile as she remembered clever hands and bright eyes and soft gasps. Fran did not understand her partner’s reticence, but hume’s were strange creatures, too prone to denying themselves. She was a forest creature, and took all gifts as they were offered.
