I. To claim a prompt: Copy and paste the desired prompt(s) (please include date) as a comment here -- (June 1st through 6th) or here -- (June 7th through June 12th) or here -- (June 13th through June 18th) or here -- (June 19th through June 24th) or here -- (June 25th through June 30th). [Ex. June 25th - Devil May Cry, Dante/Gloria: Kinky disguise - “I say we give the kid a twenty minute start. However shall we spend that time?”] Each prompt can be claimed a total of four times (twice for fic and twice for art).

II. You will be asked to write at least 100 words per prompt. There is no max. Let it take you wherever it may!

III. Collaborations are welcome and encouraged.

IV. Please be patient. I will note your request as soon as I am able to.

V. You must post your work on the date your claimed prompt is listed under.

I'll be opening the master lists up for claiming at 10:30 PM London time today (April 6th). Click here to see the relevant time for your area.

Please feel free to interpret the prompt in whatever way seems most interesting to you (wherever the story takes you), as long as you don't completely ignore the elements that the requester submitted. Part of the fun of the challenge, after all, is seeing how people can take the same starting idea and come up with different responses to it.

*huggles* Not your fault that I'm just a teensy bit obsessed! *tackle-hugs* Don't you dare think that I think that! You've been kicking ass and takng prompts and RL > net life, always.

*grinning* Now you're just getting me excited. I hope I'll be returning the favor.

I know this question's been asked before, but what's the ruling on claiming your own prompt? I did the classic "suddenly got inspired after submitting a prompt" and want to know what I should do.

(I'd probably wait until the end of the claiming session anyway, just in case 2 others want the prompt, but still)

Oh, wanted to ask: if I can't be around for a certain posting date, is it still possible to claim and write the thing pre-posting and uh, beg someone to help me put it up or something? *hopeful*

I just want to say, thank you for all of your hard work! (And there is so much more to do!) I'm probably not going to be around when they open up, but maybe that's a good thing. XD;; (Page overload whut?)

Actually, it wasn't a very awkward time at all (5:30 PM). I was just hanging out with a friend.

No worries! A few of the prompts I was considering claiming actually was claimed twice while I was gone, and this is probably a good thing. I don't want to overdo it.

I want to make sure I get some of these prompts. ;-) One is at least half written in my head already. ;-)

A quick question, old prompts only stick around for one extra round, correct? So, the prompts for this list include the new prompts given and the prompts leftover from Feburary's round, correct?

I just want to make sure that I'm not accidently picking up an old prompt of mine from Oct (because I so cannot remember that far back ^^;; )

*g* Thank you!

I think I managed to not overload myself this round (no, twenty is not a 'nice round number', even if it did get me down from twenty-one.) even though I kinda picked up another shiny after I'd already finalized my list. XD; Which means I'll actually be able to post them on time, yay! ^.^;

Is there a claiming deadline? I'm thinking of waiting a bit to let others get first crack and remove some of the temptation to claim an ungodly amount of prompts.

Yeah, there are some I really should grab now, because good prompts for things like this are so rare. But I'm low on energy and so shall be generous. XD

But there are a couple that if I let others take them and find they have been mishandled will require stabbityness. They could be either very good or very OOC...

Uhh, are we supposed to leave different comments for prompts under each specific date range? 'Cause I just put all mine, regardless of date, under just one area. I thought it would be less confusing that way. But if you need me to split them up, please tell me. Thanks!

Not a mod, but I think they get split under different dates so it's easier for the mods to go through and see whether other people got the prompts first for each section and stuff.

[NOT SURE THIS IS HELPFUL THOUGH sorry XD]

Yeah, I noticed that's what everyone else is doing, so I went back and split them up. Thank you. ^___^

I'll admit straight up: I'm terribly sore at not getting a couple of prompts I wanted, so I am far from unbiased. But - is there any possibility of expanding the number of fic claims for popular fandoms?

(edit) And I am apparently allowing this to make me unconscionably rude. Thank you for all your work. :)

Yeah... on the one hand, it's sad to not be able to get a prompt. On the other, the limit means more prompts get claimed instead of just a few popular ones.

I think of it as incentive for people to submit additional prompts in the popular fandoms, really. That way, they not only get their submissions up there for grabs, but it ups the odds of people claiming their submissions instead of claiming the things they themselves want to write. The more shiny prompts you submit, the more will be left over for you to claim!

It also means people get more prompts to choose from.

Althouth I personally submit weird prompts because I like writing weird prompts, so yeah.

Does it actually work like that? (Honest question.) I know that I tried to claim fic I wanted to write; if I haven't got those ones, I'm not going to go and claim ones that I don't want to write. Especially when they're meant to be kink-oriented - either I can write that kink or I can't, and even if I didn't get a single prompt I wanted and there are sad and lonely prompts left over, I'm not going to be claiming anything I know I can't write.

...the art style in your icon looks Finn Family Moomintrollish for some reason. (Translated kids book series.)

Well, a lot of people are only going to want to write so many prompts. Obviously they're going to have to prioritize if there are more they want to write then they have the time for, but if some of their highest ones are claimed that leaves time/spaces open. That's probably the reason for the policy, or that would be my guess.

XD This is totally awesome! Not only did I get all that I wanted, but people have actually snatched up quite a few prompts of my own making! <3 June is gonna be sooooo awesome!

Since the number of claims per prompt's still up in the air, do you have an estimate of when that will be resolved/prompts will start being labeled with claims? Because I'd like to be able to have that to look at when I sit down to start figuring out what I'm claiming. Will there be some sort of announcement when that's resolved?

Thank you!

Okay. Thank you! I'm normally quite good at listmaking/organizing, so I'd offer to help out if it weren't for the fact I'm not reliable currently.

...I used to go through and put everything back in alphabetical order in my 300+ book library as a meditation thing. And put some tape on the beat-up ones. If it weren't for the fact I find that boring when it's work I'd say I was born to be a librarian.

There are now ~225 claims on prompts that I'm interested in reading/seeing. This is going to be a good round.
