Ah, hello. I recognize you from the group: it's great to see other Neuro fans here. Hopefully that means some other people will submit prompts for it next round so I have some to do...

I didn't do much more than dabble in art, just a few years doing random sketches when I ran out of books to read in class and one semester-long formal class in middle school so I don't know how much concrit I can give here.

It might just be the shapeshifting weirdness effect, but Sai's head is the part that sticks out a bit as not really fitting the manga style, although there's nothing wrong with drawing them in your own style. It seems a bit jarring for some reason, the style difference, especially with the way the eyes are drawn, although again that could be due to the effect you've got going there, a deliberate dissonance.

Is Sai supposed to be mimicing a specific character? I can't think of anyone with hair about that long/wavy and dark but Sicks, and he has facial hair, although that could be falling out as part of the shapeshifting. The way the genetalia are 'sided' Sai seems to be shifting from female other to male 'self,' so that would indicate a female... again, you could have picked someone random but since you know the series so well I'm stuck with the feeling there's a reference I'm not getting and it bugs me. Sicks' 'Jesus' look would be a good reference to the biblical part of the prompt...

A nice thing I noted is that you're using the purplish colors from Neuro's clothing as the tone of the shading on Sai's clothing and partially on the body. The eye really seems drawn/pushed by that towards the non-Sai part of the face (focal point, is that the term again?) which is just making me more suspicious that there's a reason the viewer's being focused on it that I'm missing.

Ah, heya. Out of curiosity, were you the original requester?

There was originally intended to be MUCH more distortion and dissymmetry between the two sides of the face, especially on the female side, but it got a bit lost in the coloring process.

In chapter 109/110, there's a young-ish girl that X has taken the form of that has the same weird double-iris eyes and long dark wavy hair, so that's the shape I was borrowing for the one half. Though it is in no way canon at all and just my personal imagining, I always thought that was probably what X would have looked like if s/he didn't have the ability to transform and was just Sicks' (female) child. (Spoilers on those last three words I guess? Ahahahaha...)
