Title: Boys and Boys
Author/Artist: Casper
Rating: PG
Warnings: M/M love
Word Count: 373
Prompt: - Shinshi Doumei Cross, Maguri/Maora: Strength for strength's sake - There are things in this world that I don't understand
AN: First time writing these guys and also first time writing any male/male love fluff.
He never quite understood why everything had to be so complicated. If a person loved someone, there should be no limitations, no boundaries but to love that person with all one’s heart.
“Boys can’t marry each other.” Those words were uttered by his father, though in a loving sense, it did damage to his little heart.
“Don’t worry about it Maora.” Maguri had winked at him; trying to reassure him it was all going to be okay.
That had been when they were kids, when everything seemed to be perfect.
High school came.
Things started to change.
But his love for the one person never wavered, never changed. Haine-chan later came around, helping him deal with the one-sided affair and he fell in love with her strength, her outlook on everything. That’s when he decided to set his sights once more on the person who meant the world to him.
“What are you thinking about Maori-chan?” Maguri asked, his eyebrow winged up as he watched his boyfriend blink from the thoughts of the past.
“Oh, nothing. Just thinking.” Maora smiled. He’d finally given up wearing the dresses and opted for a pair of jeans with a t-shirt that fit him snuggly.
“Oh, like what?” Plopping down beside him on the couch, Maguri sighed, loving the feel of the jeans brush up against his side. Maori watched with mirth before leaning forward.
“Wondering if you would look good in a dress…”
Maguri blushed and flailed. “W-what? Are you kidding me? Maora you’re about the only guy I know who looks fucking hot in a dress.”
“Thank you, I think.” Their lips brushed against one another and Maguri lost all embarrassment. He brushed back the hair that fell in Maora’s eyes as he deepened the kiss, cupping his chin in his hand.
Maybe boys weren’t supposed to by some unknown law in the world. But it seemed the heart didn’t hold on to such pretentious thoughts as it sought out the strength it needed all along.
“Thank you Maguri,” The whisper left Maora’s lips and Maguri looked down to find his lover and friend smiling with pure happiness as if the world stopped, time pausing for this one moment, “for being a boy.”
“Any time.”
