A single park bench, underneath a vast sky. Two sat upon that bench, one who would meet Death very soon, and one who carried a manifestation of Death within his body. Perhaps they had met by chance, or perhaps it had been fate; after all, Death embraced the both of them very strongly.

"Akinari-san, when you look up at the sky, what do you see?"

"I see eternity. I want to reach up and hold it within my hands, but I'm just a dying mortal. Forever is too faraway for me to grasp."

"I don't see anything eternal. All I see is this moment, a moment I'm spending with you."

"Heh. I'm closer to death, so perhaps I have a better sight of eternity than you do. Still, this moment I'm sharing with you, Arisato Minato, is very precious to me."

Akinari placed his frail hand over Minato's, and he leaned over so that they could share a kiss.
