"Whatever we deny or regret, for worse or for better, we belong together," Starscream said, keeping his optics locked on Skyfire. "You know that. We were good together, Skyfire." He took a few steps closer to the other, much larger mech.

Skyfire shook his head. "And what of our comrades?" he asked. "You might be willing to abandon the Decepticons, but I refuse to leave the Autobots. What do you propose we do?" He kept his optics locked on the Seeker, not entirely believing the other.

Starscream smirked, firing his thrusters so he could be optic level with his former lover. "There are times our factions aren't fighting. We could meet then." He ran a hand down the other's cheek before wrapping an arm around the Autobot's neck, moving in closer to Skyfire. "Don't you want to see if we can still work out as a couple?"

"And not see each other any other time? Worry about each other while we fight?" Skyfire shook his head. "I do love you, Starscream, but I can't do that. I can't be worrying about what could happen to you, at the hands of my friends during battle."

"So, you do love me, huh?" Starscream grinned, taking advantage of what the other admitted and kissing the other briefly. "At least consider it, Skyfire."

"We'll see." Skyfire pulled away, resting a hand on Starscream's cockpit, looking the Decepticon over. "Maybe we will be able to, maybe not. We'll just have to wait and see." He slowly pulled away from the Seeker. "I have to go now. We can meet again, just like this, in a few days."

Starscream nodded, watching the Autobot fly off. The meeting hadn't quite gone as planned, but it had gone better than he'd actually expected. Well, there was always their next meeting to convince Skyfire.

lovely work my darling. it wasn't exactly the tone i was hoping for with the prompt (its mine, by the way), but it did turn out nicely anyway and i do like it.
