Author's Notes: Fear the fluff!

Sora knew his friends were worried. He didn’t mean to make them worry, but there were actually some things that could get him so down he couldn’t hide it. He hadn’t bothered to try to hide it this time either. And he knew that Riku and Kairi were plotting some way to cheer him up. That was a little comforting.

He wasn’t expecting them to corner him in the Secret Place and tackle him to the floor with mischievous grins on their faces.

"Uh, guys?" he stammered as they settled down on either side of him, not really pinning him, but ready to grab him if he decided to make a break for it.

"Come on, out with it," Kairi said, her tone bordering stern, "What’s bothering you?"

Well that was forward. The problem was that they already knew what was bothering him. It was just that there’d been a new development that renewed his concern.

"It’s nothing," he said bluntly.

"You know," Riku drawled, playing with the zipper on Sora’s jacket, "This really isn’t like you."

"I know. It’s usually you in this position."

Riku bristled slightly at that, but said nothing.

"Sora, it must be bad if it’s got you this down," Kairi said gently, "Let us help you."

"You guys already know what’s wrong," Sora huffed, "There isn’t much to talk about." There was the smallest possibility that he was letting it get to him more than he should.

Yes, actually, you are.

‘Well, what do you expect? I mean, you’re…’

I know. And it sucks and it means a lot that you want to do something for me. But you’re not doing either of us any favors being depressed about it.

‘Roxas…’

While he was talking to Roxas, Sora missed the exchange of sly glances between Riku and Kairi. A soft giggle from Kairi pulled him back to attention.

"What?"

"Thinking too much?" Riku asked.

"Maybe I am," Sora replied with a sigh, "Look, guys, I’m fine. I just have a lot on my mind."

"Maybe you need to leave it be for a while," Kairi offered, "Sometimes thinking on something too much just makes it harder." She was tugging at his shirt a little bit, almost absently but for the occasional glance at Riku that suggested mischief. Sora looked from one to the other, wondering if trying to get him to talk was the only reason they’d cornered him here.

They’re plotting.

‘I knew that. I… wait, what do you know about this?’

Roxas only chuckled and retreated deeper into their Heart.

What do you guys usually do to Riku when he’s moping and feeling like he shouldn’t be near you?

‘Oh… Oh!’

Before he could do anything about it, Kairi and Riku had their hands up his shirt, fingers playing mercilessly over his ribs.

"Hey, cut it out!" he whined, trying and failing to get away, his complaints interrupted with mild fits of giggles.

"Not until you smile," Kairi said firmly, giggling a little herself.

"Okay, okay. Happy." He gave them a big, stupid smile and tried and failed again to slip free. Now they were pinning him, though they did stop tickling him.

"Maybe," Riku said, shrugging, "Are you going to let us help you?"

Sora sighed, "You guys aren’t going to give that up, are you?"

"Would you, if it was one of us who seemed down?" Kairi asked.

"No, I wouldn’t. Okay, but… I really don’t want to talk about it right now."

"Whenever you want to."

"Sure, now uh… can you get off me?"

Well, it's true. Almost everyone writes them with Sora and Kairi trying to cheer Riku up. I figured I give Riku a break from the emo kid bit... and yet it still gets a mention. He can't win.
