Prompt: Transformers G1 - Thundercracker/Bluestreak: Disenchantment with the cause, tired of the war - "There they go now / There go all my friends / There they go now / Marching off to war again"
A/N: I'm sorry it's late. I've been sick

Bluestreak sighed as he watched his friends leaving for battle; he hated just sitting there like that, having to guard the prisoner, knowing that some of his friends could be injured, or worse, killed. The thought scared him, and he didn't know what he could do about it. It didn't help anything, either, when he was stuck there, unable to help any of them. "Not like I'd be much help anyway," he muttered. "They're probably better off going to battle without me because I screw things up so often." He glanced into the cell, at the Seeker that was behind the bars. "There they go now. There go all my friends. There they go now, marching off to war again."

Thundercracker just stared at Bluestreak, refusing to take his eyes off of the gunner; he didn't trust any of the Autobots, even if they did say that they didn't harm their prisoners. He glared at the "guard," knowing that Bluestreak was afraid of him. "Let me out of here, and I won't kill you next time I see you," he growled.

"I can't do that," Bluestreak said. "If I let you out you'll hurt my friends and you'll try to kill me anyway so it's really pointless for me to listen to you. Besides if I let you go you'll just help to keep this war going and I can't really understand why because we just want the war to stop. Well I wish the war would stop and I think the others do too but you Decepticons just keep it going and keep killing others for absolutely no reason and it just isn't right."

"Do you ever shut up?"

Bluestreak winced. "Doesn't this war ever seem pointless to you and make you wonder why you keep fighting when no one is really winning?"

"No."

"Oh..." Bluestreak sat down, leaning against the wall, staring at the floor.

"...Yes, it does, actually." Thundercracker sighed, not really knowing why he'd just admitted that to the Autobot. He'd just suddenly felt bad for lying to the other. He shook his head. "If you Autobots would just give up, the war would be over."

"But if we just give up you'll either kill us or make us your slaves and that isn't fair and we really don't want that. We wouldn't do that to you so it would be better if you Decepticons gave up."

"We won't give up."

"Neither will we." Bluestreak sighed. "I just want this war to be over and I don't want to see any other die because of this stupid war and I want to be able to live happily." He fidgeted slightly. "Maybe find a mate."

Thundercracker chuckled. "A mate, huh? I don't think many Autobots or Decepticons take the time to think about something like that in the middle of war, kid."

"Hey I'm not a kid." Bluestreak walked over to the bars, leaning against them and looking at the Decepticon that was just right in front of him. "And what's wrong with me thinking about settling down and finding a mate?"

Thundercracker smirked, leaning forward and pressing hips lips to Bluestreak's between the bars, surprising the gunner, mainly doing it to get the Autobot to stop talking. He got his own surprise when the gunner kissed back, having not expected it; he had to admit, though, the Autobot was a good kisser.

Bluestreak pulled away when he heard footsteps. He just stared at Thundercracker for a moment before he smiled. He turned to face the stairs to see Prowl coming down the stairs. "Everything's fine, Prowl no trouble from him or anything." He smiled as the tactician nodded and walked up to him.

"Just comm me if you need someone to come help you, or should you wish to get some rest," Prowl said, resting a hand on the young gunner's shoulder. He looked at Thundercracker one last time before he left, not looking back again. He trusted Bluestreak and knew that the gunner would tell him if anything had happened.

Bluestreak turned back to the Seeker, walking back over.

"Now," Thundercracker started, smirking, "where were we?" He pulled Bluestreak into another, more passionate kiss.

Bluestreak leaned against the bars, pressing into the kiss. 'Maybe staying here for guard duty isn't so bad after all. At least, not when he is the prisoner.'
