Summary: Sora has an unexpected visitor.
Prompt: Kingdom Hearts 2, Sora/Axel: AU ending - "something always brings me back to you"



The three of them were at the beach - two weeks into summer vacation and Sora was already tanned a deep golden brown - when the dragon showed up.

It probably said something that their first reaction was to discreetly get out their keyblades, though Sora didn't let go of his icecream. The dragon didn't seem threatening, after all, but he did seem strangely familiar.

When it saw Sora though, it just lit up like a kid who'd gotten the bestest present ever, and the grin with entirely too many teeth was enough for Sora to place him.

"Axel?" he squeaked, gaping and entirely undignified. At least now he knew where that Keychain had disappeared to after the worlds got fixed. Again.

"Do you know how hard it is to find this place?" Axel grinned, trying to sound agrieved. "I mean, even for a fine specimen of dragon such as myself-"

Sora wasn't listening though. Part of it was Roxas, part of it was Sora, and together it added up to a very hugged Axel.

And the kissing wasn't too shabby either (he'd been practicing, after all).

XD I'm typically very cautious with skintone (Eggshell and Brick Beige are the ones I stick to for most of my stuff) because if you mess that up, it's difficult to recover the picture. But I figured that Sora wouldn't look out of place with a hefty tan, so I went out on a limb and used Goldenrod. Glad to know it works, yay!
