Word count: 272
The two blondes donned their sunglasses as they walked down the street.
"You're right," K said to his companion. "It is so bright here that I need the shades."
Yohji nodded with a grin. "Bright neon lights all night. Brighter than the daytime," he walked with a spring in his step, happy to be walking in Tokyo with his new friend.
They drew many stares among the dark-haired population. The two men were striking enough without their fair complexions but their attitude was also highly noticeable. K more so than Yohji, who had been trained to blend in sometimes. Yohji only hoped K wouldn't whip out his gun; the manager had a tendency to do that at unexpected times, Yohji had soon learned.
There were whispers and giggles and stares, both shocked and amused from the people they passed.
"Are we so unusual?" K questioned.
"They're commenting on your loveliness," Yohji said with a flirty wink.
"I'm not falling for your lines," K countered but did grin back.
They were having fun already. The lights and the crowds were exciting and there was the feeling that anything could happen. It seemed a shame to be alone together so Yohji had suggested they spend the night out. K was perfectly happy with that.
"So where do you suggest we go?" Looking around the street, K saw so many interesting places to visit.
"Everywhere! But lets start here," Yohji dragged K by the arm to a nearby place, where the lights were flashing even brighter than the others. It was going to certainly be a night to remember, and it had only just begun.
