Title: A Moment of Peace
Author/Artist:
sagemuraken
Rating: M
Warnings: Sex scene
Prompt: Kyo Kara Maoh! - Conrad/Shouri; desperation; "I've always known you're you"
Word count: 313
How had this happened? That was Shouri's random thought as he tussled with Conrad on his bed. There was desperation in both men's actions; in the way they kissed and yanked at each other's clothing. Shouri heard something rip. Neither of them cared. They joined together in a passion, both temporarily forgetting their fears for Yuuri. They needed to forget the danger, even just for a few mere moments of bliss. All that tension culminating in two bodies locked together, desperately trying to find some peace.
Once they were spent they remained in each other's arm, not wanting to lose that brief feeling of contentment and comfort that this union had brought to them both. Their mutual affection for Yuuri quite evenly matched so each understood the other's stresses.
They also both knew deep down that somehow Yuuri would pull through this latest drama and be safe.
As their breathing settled, Conrad moved his head enough so that he could see Shouri's face. The man still had his glasses on, they'd been in such a hurry. Conrad could vaguely see himself reflected in the lenses, his cheeks pink from their exertions and his hair sweaty on his face.
Shouri was nothing like Yuuri and somehow Conrad was grateful for that, although he couldn't explain why that thought reassured him. Oh, they were both impulsive, passionate and dark-haired but they were different in many other ways. Conrad had always known that, even when he'd seen this man as a child.
"I'm glad you're you," he spoke aloud, though not really meaning to.
Shouri gave him a questioning look but Conrad shook his head and just embraced Shouri warmly, holding on again to that comforting moment.
"It will be all right, won't it?" Shouri said after a long silence.
"Yes."
They spent the reminder of the night holding on to that desperate idea of peace.
