Rufus shudders, his face pressed close to the glass. Fogging breath clouds a reflection blurred further still from sweat, from tears, from black ooze draining from the curse necrotizing the flesh above his left eye.

On his knees and weak, he leans into the quicksilvered glass and moans. He's being eaten alive, devoured from the inside out by his body's rejection of the Calamity.

Heaven's dark harbinger, indeed.

He uses his last bit of strength and strokes himself until the last of his orgasm subsides, and then Rufus, with agonizing perfection, writes Reno's name on the mirror in the slime.
