I've changed the community setting to moderated for the time being, deleted all interests and asked that any adult material be locked down until this all blows over. I also backed up all entries using the LJ Export feature from this community as well as the
yaoi_challenge comm. I'm thinking that we need a sort of central archive of our own for all the challenges/communities I run, similar to the yuletidetreasure.org site. One where participants can upload, delete, etc. their own contributions.
Anyone with mad web designer skills care to make this dream come true for me? *bats eyelashes* Anyone? Bueller?
ETA: In light of recent events,
springkink will be unlocked and once again open to all (watchers and members alike). *crosses fingers*

Date: 2007-05-30 11:00 pm (UTC)Thanks for doing such a great job on the community though. I will continue to support you where ever you end up.
Hopefully, all this will blow over in a few weeks and we can get on with our regularly scheduled kink.

Date: 2007-05-31 10:52 am (UTC)Suggestions on web space providers would be appreciated if you have any. How much space do you think we'd need? I'm looking to back-up six communities. I think. Yes, about six or seven communities that have been open since 2004 or so.

Date: 2007-06-05 08:52 pm (UTC)DH has its problems - as do all providers. They were known for being very stable, then got a huge influx of customers about a year ago and had problems for a few months, but in recent months have been stable again. The times I've had problems and needed to contact tech support, I've always gotten quick responses and the techs worked with me to figure out what it was.
DH's basic plan is 200 GB disk space, added to weekly, and 2 TB/month bandwidth, added to weekly, with unlimited domains and subdomains and MySQL databases. I've been hosting several sites (http://www.magatsu.net/), including
