Kasanoda Ritsu and Sendou Tetsuya were living together. They'd had this arrangement for some years now and they were comfortable with their lives.
Kasanoda still had his family responsibilities but for the most part he was left alone to be content with Tetsuya's company. The times in childhood and as a teen when people had fled from a mere look from him were past - although sometimes people in the street would walk just that bit faster when they saw him. He didn't let it bother him any longer. He had Tetsuya - who had loved him from the start. Tetsuya, who had seen past his frightening visage to the warm, shy soul inside. He considered himself lucky to have found such a special man.
But this wasn't the only reason for loving Tetsuya. Over the years they'd explored different things: themselves and elsewhere. They'd travelled, but the best times were always when they were snuggled up in bed, glowing and warm from lovemaking and both feeling safe and loved.
Of course they'd settled into a routine, as couples often do, but it wasn't boring. Tetsuya would surprise Kasanoda sometimes with thoughtful little gifts or flowers and though he felt a little embarrassed by receiving such girly things, he did appreciate Tetsuya's care of him.
Tetsuya said how he liked to see Kasanoda smile, even though Kasanoda himself still doubted how attractive a look that was on his particular face. A lifetime of being told how terrifying you looked didn't go away even with a few years of love but he did like hearing it. He liked how open and honest Tetsuya's expression always was when he was giving his lover a compliment. It made Kasanoda wish he was better with words. All he could do was tell Tetsuya that he loved him and that he was so glad they were together. Deep down Tetsuya knew that Kasanoda wanted to say more and the understanding of those unspoken feelings was enough for him.
Tetsuya sometimes worried about him, being in the family business. He was sure that things would change once Kasanoda took over this branch of the Yakuza and then there would be repercussions to face but for now there were other dangers. Threats aside, their lives otherwise were pretty normal.
Kasanoda was greeted by a kiss from his lover as he returned home one day, after visiting his family. He smiled, though looked a little tired. Tetsuya gave him a snack to eat as it was still a little early for dinner, then he suggested a massage.
The fingers across his back, paying special attention to the knots of stress, felt amazing. Tetsuya had a wonderful touch. Kasanoda turned his head to the side to watch him, though he couldn't see too much. Tetsuya's legs were in easy reach and he lightly touched Tetsuya's clothed thigh.
"Feeling better?" Tetsuya asked gently, his fingers still working on the massage.
"Yes," Kasanoda sighed. "Thank you...," he gave the thigh a small squeeze.
Tetsuya bent down to kiss him. Kasanoda didn't want that to stop and so moved to keep Tetsuya's face and lips close. Tetsuya smiled into the kiss. "You seem better."
He sat on the bed and pulled Kasanoda into an embrace. Kasanoda held onto to him for such a long time that Tetsuya thought nothing else was going to happen but then Kasanoda's lips were on his neck and there was an insistence in them that made Tetsuya's heart quicken. He moaned softly and Kasanoda's arms tightened around him.
"I love you," Kasanoda whispered as their lips met again and Kasanoda gently pushed Tetsuya down on the bedding. Tetsuya reached up to press against Kasanoda longingly as they continued to kiss. Sometimes these kisses would last for ages; a kind of foreplay that Kasanoda seemed to really enjoy. From the massage, Kasanoda's shirt had already been removed and now he carefully pulled his lover's top off as well. His hands danced lightly across and down Tetsuya's torso, the fingers a reverentially loving touch, causing pleasant tingles to happen on Tetsuya's skin. He moaned again and the fingers travelled lower, unbuttoning Tetsuya's pants.
The caresses continued, so soft and gentle that nobody else would believe how such a scary looking man could be such a careful lover. But Tetsuya knew better, as he'd always known. His smile stayed throughout as Kasanoda's lips and fingers adored his body with their touch. When he came, it was with such a slow, pleasurable build up that it seemed to be a glorious curve in the river rather than a sudden turn at a crossroads. It all flowed and rippled and when Kasanoda pulled the warm covers over them both, kissing Tetsuya's cheek, Tetsuya knew that here was the only place he wanted to be.
For the rest of his life.
