“Ouch!”

“Sorry!” Ratchet shifted back as far as he could, taking his weight off the mech pined against other wall. “Maybe if you lift your leg a bit more and--”

“Can't,” muttered Wheeljack, already wobbly trying to keep his knee braced on the shelf behind Ratchet's shoulder. “I honestly ain't built to bend that way. How about I put my arm here and then you lift me like--”

“Eh, I don't think that will work. Not unless you really want to have a couple of ports torn out.”

Pondering a moment, Wheeljack's headfins blinked in frustration. “Okay. Why don't you pop open you codpiece, I'll open mine and we can-”

“That ain't gonna work either.” Ratchet sighed. “There's just not enough room for either of to get enough...eh, motion, if you get me. Besides, I'd rather not end up with a spare piston wedged in my valve today.”

“Alright. Maybe if you were plugged into the port near my waist like this,” Wheeljack groped around a second for one of the medic's free cables. “And then we could hook up like--”

They both jerked away in pain when the line shorted out.

“Crap! You alright, Ratch?”

“Yes,” came the clenched tooth hiss. “You okay?”

“Yeah... Just kicked a could of minor breakers.”

Ratchet frowned sadly. “Jack, as much as I desperately want it to, this just isn't working.”

The engineer nodded, slowly untangling himself from his mate. “I hear, dear... Dunno why those kids keep using these utility closets to 'face in. You just don't have the room to maneuver enough to enjoy it. Whatever happened to using your own bunk?”

“Or using my med-bay?” Ratchet groused. He gave Wheeljack a gentle nuzzle on the neck. “Let's face it, we're just too old for this crap.”

“Yeah, speaking of the med-bay... You mind helping me pop my hip joint back in? I think I over-extended it trying to stay upright.”

“I'd be happy to. We'll even use one of the private berth.” Ratchet was smirking now, his arm around the engineer as they stumbled out into the hallway. “You know? The ones that have really sturdy bunks and a nice, secure lock on the door?”

“Eh? Oh. Ooooooooooooh!” Head-fins now flaring brightly, Wheeljack happily let himself be herded toward the med-bay and the promise of something more pleasant than a quickie in a cramped storage closet.
