Can I still take prompts the night before?

I don't want to overwhelm myself with prompts again this year and taking it one day at a time? I want to know I can actually complete the prompt before publicly taking it.

Sure. Claiming of prompts goes on for an indefinite amount of time this time, so you can claim right up until the date something is due.
