1.  Two weeks to go! *squee*

2. sk_updates:  newsletter-type community for the springkink challenge. It will be updated daily during the months of April and July.

3. We will begin accepting new prompts for the Y_C's anniversary round the first week of May. This will most likely be the final round of the year. Posting will take place during the month of July. (All is welcome. Just remember to give me a:  [character - kink - idea/lyric/phrase/whatever - number (from 1 to 31)]

4. Established relationships vs. First Times - Which do you prefer writing?  Reading?


ETA: 5. All current prompts unclaimed by March 31st will be rolled over into a separate post and once again up for grabs in May. However, they will be discarded if not claimed during July's round.

1 - You're on a roll, huh? Go you! How do you do it?

3 - You know I keep thinking 'spring'kink... am I really trying to take this into fall? *G* But what are name changes for? Ya know! I'll have to give it some thought.

4 - ...I think possibly because I find it more challenging, I always find it really cool when somebody manages to write an established relationship in a way that feels fresh and compelling for the reader despite the characters' familiarity with each other.

Though once April is done, I think I'm going to have to do my best to not to sign up for quite so many anonymous/delayed posting challenges at the same time. Sitting on all this fic for so long is making me crazy! ^^;

That's exactly why I decided to just do another round of springkink instead of another long reversathon type challenge. Even though there will be less time with which to complete assignments I think it works out better for folks who like that instant gratification.

Hmmm laylah, you're giving me an idea. How about a weekly challenge (4 weeks in length). Prompts are posted for each week. If something pings you, you write and so on and on. I'll think it over and maybe take a vote. What do you say?

I still keep finding things on the springkink & unclaimed YC lists that I want to pick up (probably because I'm down to the last handful of my springkink prompts and I'm going "man, why did I pick *that* one? did I have an inspiration that I've just forgotten?"). I'd be all for a smaller-scale and faster-paced challenge for a change of pace.

Are you looking at something like springkink, with a bunch of specific prompts, or something with a (few) more general prompts that people can take in any direction they like?

Well I already run something similar to the general prompt concept at stagesoflove (which is gearing up for a summer round, hopefully), so I guess specific prompts. But I wonder if the faster pace would be too much, too overwhelming, for most. I think I'm going to stick to our current format for the next round and then open up the floor for suggestions once the round is complete.

*nod* Sounds good. I like the specific prompts better myself -- I'm pulled in so many different directions all the time that having something specific to work with is really helpful, especially in a short-term challenge.

Trying to come up with something that works for everyone is a pain, isn't it? It probably is true that you'd have far more people able to participate with a little more time open -- if the timing is too compressed, only prolific/fast players can be involved. *still so very impressed at how well you manage*
