I. Hello there! Just a friendly reminder: The party begins in eight days! July 1st contributors, are you ready? *G*
II. Posting instructions can be found here. Please follow them!
III. Let's talk characters or pairings or foursomes and moresomes or whatever or whoever you're currently digging. Let's talk OTCs, OTPs and OT3s. Let's talk about the characters you love, the ones you love to hate and the ones you hate to love. What's the appeal? What is it about them in particular that inspires you to put pen to paper or fingers to keys? Talk to me!

Date: 2007-06-24 06:32 pm (UTC)I'm writing a lot of new characters this round, which should give me the opportunity to find new characters to love.
Himemiya Anthy from Revolutionary Girl Utena is my favorite character of all time. My OTP to end all OTPs is Anthy/Utena (or Utena/Anthy, it makes no difference). Surprisingly, I'm only writing one fic with Anthy, and it's not Utena/Anthy. But I also like Anthy/Akio, so it's all good. (Two manipulative, dangerous people using each other? Count me in.)
Anthy is the epitome of one of my very favorite character traits: people being much more than they first appear. The characters can actually be hiding something about themselves (Anthy, Hakkai), or simply much stronger than they might appear at first glance (Hisoka).
I'm also using this chance to become more familiar with Muraki, who've I've only written drabbles about. (A chance to get inside the good doctor's head. Oh joy.) I don't think that Muraki/Tsuzuki fans will like what I come up with though. My take on them is rather...dim. (It starts with the premise that Muraki is, uh, EVIL and expands from there.) I'm not sure I'd call Muraki a character I love to hate though. I mean, I do hate adoring him like I do, but only because the vast majority of his fans are so bloody stupid.

*raises hand* This one is pretty sure she will.
I hope it lives up to your expectations! I have my idea down pat; it's the actual, uh, writing that seems to be giving me trouble.
