Author's Notes: Yes, I know that, IRL, convicted people don't usually work in most positions at the DA office. However, this is the Ace Attorneys universe. Thus, it's very possible for Iris to be hired as Franziska's Personal Assistant (And yes, our dom!prosecutor insists upon calling her that instead of the offical job-title of "Secretary".) And since Iris is seemingly expelled from the Hawthorne family, it only makes sense, in my eyes, for her to use her mother's maiden name as her last name. And I definitely say this takes place in a slight AU, about a good year or two after Trials & Tribulations. And one final note: Franziska's very presence could make the young prosecutor in this story feel very, very nervous; he learned not to mess with her on his first day there. ;)
